Triond adds an online editor for publishers
Triond is a pay-to-write website, where you can publish not only their articles, but photos and other media as well. You can write about pretty much any topic, as long as it conforms to the website's guidelines. Each publication undergoes a verification process by human editors. On 13/08/2008 Triond has added an html editor along side their traditional file upload mechanism. Before users had to submit a text document, which would then be reformatted into html by Triond editors. This is a welcome addition as it will make the final published page layout a lot more predictable. Especially as th only thing you do have control over is the content itself. Following a weave of comments after the introduction of the editor on 14/08/2008 Triond has made improvements to the editor allowing for drafts to be saved. This addressed some initial problems reported by the users of the new feature. The biggest benefit I think will be in the area of article corrections. Instead of re-uploading the whole document you will be able to apply you quick changes immediately yourself. This will definitely save time and frustration when correcting things like typos. The new draft mechanism also addressed some of the concerns about the quality of the content published through this channel. However now that you can save your work for later it will hopefully mean that people will not feel compelled to rush their text into publication. |
